Get the Full StoryOn the UFC Oklahoma City main card, Tim Means, Dominick Reyes, and Felice Herrig notched wins in their respective bouts. We re more than halfway through with the UFC Fight Night: Chiesa vs. Lee main card in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Tim Means put in a workmanlike performance against Alex Garcia, Dominick Reyes wasted no time making a lasting impression in his Octagon debut, and Felice Herrig outclassed a determined but overmatched Justine Kish. Here s how the fights played out.

Felice Herrig def. Justine Kish by unanimous decision 30-26, 30-26, 29-27 - Women s Strawweights

In round 1, Herrig wasted no time taking Kish s back in a scramble but couldn t turn that into a possible submission. Herrig pushed for a takedown and nearly was reversed. She was able to maneuver her way towards the back again and then put Kish on her back. Felice gained full mount and unleashed big ground-and-pound as Kish tried to hip escape. Herrig spun to the back and searched for the rear-naked choke. She switched back to mount and punched Kish some more. It looked as if Herrig was going for a triangle choke and lost the position, which allowed Kish to get back to her feet. Another takedown by Herrig was countered by a whizzer, and Kish threw some elbows on Herrig s head. It was an intriguing opening round, to say the least.

Herrig tagged Kish with two left hooks in round 2, and they traded big punches in an entertaining exchange. A cut opened up along the right eye of Kish thanks to the left hooks. A right hand and a left hook snapped Kish s head back. Kish answered back with a nice knee to the head from the Muay Thai clinch. They locked up against the fence and Herrig was able to throw Kish down to the mat. Kish gave up side control and then backmount with under a minute left in round 2. Kish used her strength to twist her way on top and in Herrig s closed guard. Herrig went for an armbar but Kish was privy to it and escaped, throwing hard punches before time expired.

Kish was aggressive with her strike selection in round 3, although it led to her getting taken down again. It didn t take long for Herrig to secure full mount. In a wild sequence, Kish stood up with Herrig in control of her back, then she jumped on the back and went for a rear-naked choke. The arm was underneath the chin and it looked for all the world that Herrig was going to force Kish to tap. Miraculously, Kish escaped and she was still in the fight. As incredible as that submission defense was, Herrig continued to pound away from full mount and wouldn t let Kish explode out of a bad spot again. Felice controlled Kish from the back, with both hooks in, and the beating continued. It was absolute domination by Herrig, who has now won her last three. Kish s undefeated MMA record has been snapped, as she dips to 6-1.

Dominick Reyes def. Joachim Christensen by TKO punches at :29 of round 1 - Light Heavyweights

Reyes wasted no time hurting Christensen with a straight left. He threw a series of strikes as Christensen was hurt from that initial punch, and then looked for the finish on the ground after knocking him down with a right. The Danish fighter was allowed back up, only to be crumpled Christensen by a monstrous left. A couple of extra punches ended proceedings in a flash. That was a marvelous performance by The Devastator on short notice, and the 7-0 LHW has won his last three bouts in a combined 1 minute and 49 seconds. Christensen falls to 1-3 in the UFC, and wow did he get lit up tonight.

Tim Means def. Alex Garcia by unanimous decision 29-28 x3 - Welterweights

Garcia cracked Means with an uppercut and he tried to turn that into a takedown, but Means stuffed it and threw some big knees to the body. After a bit of a lull in the action, Garcia hammered home a lead left hook. Means threw straight lefts to the body and piled up on the smaller strikes, whereas Garcia went for power, often not landing.

Round 2 began with several leg kicks by Means, along with more effective body work. Garcia drove forward hard for a takedown, and again Means was up to the task defensively. A right hook, straight left combo clipped Garcia, who was then hurt by a counter left down the middle. The crowd grew impatient with the lack of offense and booed as the second frame ended.

Garcia shot for another takedown early in round 3, Means used a nice whizzer and sprung back up, throwing a right hand on the way back to an upright position. Means was the more active, more accurate, less predictable fighter, and Garcia was just whiffing way too often against the bigger man. It was mostly an inept performance by Garcia, as Means threw and landed more. Means snaps a two-fight winless run both against Alex Oliveira , whereas Garcia drops to 4-3 inside the Octagon.
