Things Got Tense Between Chris Brown And Migos After The BET Awards

Get the Full StoryAn awards show really isn’t an awards show until some kind of drama breaks out at the afterparty, and this honor goes to Migos and Chris Brown. I wonder if the court still thinks that Chris Brown doesn’t need violence prevention classes? Just wondering out loud here.

TMZ says that the fight started when Chris and Migos crossed paths in a parking garage after the BET Awards in Los Angeles last night. Migos was arriving at an afterparty just as Chris was leaving. Witnesses say someone in Chris’ crew pushed Migos member Quavo, to which someone in Migos’ crew intervened and got punched. Chris reportedly kept walking to his car the whole time, because he doesn’t want to get his precious little hands dirty. The sources say that Migos and some of their friends followed Chris to his car and surrounded it, but he left without getting hurt.

Because the old proverb says that a fight doesn’t really happen unless someone whips out their cellphone to film it, there’s a bunch of footage. It’s a lot of yelling, hissing, and circling but no actual fighting; sort of like a grade school recess fight when you know the yard supervisor is watching.

Sources tell TMZ that cops showed up, but people had scattered by then. As for how this started, well here’s a possible theory: Quavo has reportedly been dating Karrueche Tran for the past several months. And we all know about Chris Brown’s obsessive history with Karrueche.

That wasn’t actually Migos’ only scuffle last night. They also had a tense moment with rapper-turned-radio host Joe Budden. The New York Daily News says things got weird during a pre-show interview with Migos and Complex News. Migos’ Takeoff was asked about his absence from Bad and Boujee. It turned into a Who’s On First?-style bit with DJ Akademiks repeatedly asking Takeoff to repeat his answer. Joe Budden got tired of it all, and ended the interview by throwing down his mic and walking off. Migos wasn’t having it, and it almost turned into a red carpet brawl.

Joe Budden sounds like that older relative who used to want to pump it up, but has mellowed with age, and now has zero time for the young whippersnapper’s bullshit. Respect your elders, Migos!
