These 2 Photos Prove That "Sizing Is Such Bullsh t!"

Get the Full StoryLOL sizing is SUCH bullshit these are both a size 10 short from express in their low rise leggings. Literally the same store, cut, size, etc. The one was a hair too big & the other didn't even go over my thighs like WHAAAT?! My reason for sharing is...If you ever find yourself in a fitting room ready to bust into tears when something doesn't fit we've all been there, myself included...millions of times...ask my mom REMEMBER THIS PIC! There are times I'm a small, times I cant even muscle into a large, times a 10 falls off my hips & times, like this, it doesn't even get past my thighs. Sizing is silly...no one will know if you had to bump up or down because of the cut, style, or likely completely wrong sizing on the store's part. You mean so much more than fitting into the smallest size you can. Our value should never come from a number...on the scale or in our clothes.

Katy went shopping at Express and felt compelled to share these side-by-side photos of her crappy fitting room experience. She was trying on low-rise leggings from the same shelf in the exact same size, though one was black and one was dark blue - it was buy one, get one for 20, after all! Katy shared this photo with POPSUGAR, telling us that she couldn't get the black pair over her leg, but "the blue ones were a little loose around my waist." We totally agree that "sizing is SUCH bullsh t!"

Katy went on, "SO LAME! Especially because the day before I had weighed in and lost another few pounds and was feeling great, so thankfully after years of being into my health weight loss I have the mental emotional strength to not internalize that, but I mean that would've been a MAJOR buzzkill to my good vibes and success if I had only tried on the pair that was clearly sized too small."

Can you relate? Have you ever found yourself in a fitting room in tears because you can't fit into a size 12 in one store, but in another store, you're a size 8?! And these were from the SAME store, in the same size, so it's even more "bullsh t." Katy says, "There are times I'm a small, times I cant even muscle into a large, times a 10 falls off my hips & times, like this, it doesn't even get past my thighs."

Screw the sizing! Katy urges you to "REMEMBER THIS PIC!," so you know you're not alone in this. We've all been there, and sizes are just numbers. Don't let them define you or ruin your day or prevent you from buying that cute pair of jeans that fit you so well just because they're two sizes larger than you wear in another store. Katy says, "You mean so much more than fitting into the smallest size you can. Our value should never come from a number . . . on the scale or in our clothes."
