205-pound champ Ryan Bader is set to make his first title defense against Linton Vassell in the main event of Bellator 186, Bellator officials announced Thursday. PennLive.com first reported the news.

Vassell 18-5, 1 NC is riding a three-fight winning streak and started campaigning for a title shot after his most recent victory, a third-round submission over former Bellator titleholder Liam McGeary at Bellator 179 in May. In 2016, The Swarm bested Francis Carmont by decision and avenged a 2014 loss to Emanuel Newton by defeating him in a rematch. Vassell s last loss came to the hands of Muhammed Lawal in the opening round of a 205-pound tournament almost two years ago.

Bellator 186 takes place at Penn State University s Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, PA on Nov. 3.
