Secret Agents Assemble On Kingsman: The Golden Circle International Poster

Get the Full StoryIn just under a month, the much-anticipated sequel to Matthew Vaughn’s 2014 hit spy comedy Kingsman: The Secret Service arrives. Kingsman: The Golden Circle promises to be a bigger, bolder follow-up to an already audacious movie and will bring back your favourite characters from the first film alongside a bunch of new faces, ensuring that audiences are in for a good time.

For those who haven’t been keeping up, the sequel will see the Kingsman organization destroyed, forcing the only survivors, Eggsy Taron Egerton and Merlin Mark Strong , to travel to the good ol’ U.S. of A. to team up with their American cousins, the Statesman. It turns out the culprit behind all the trouble is Julianne Moore’s ubervillainess Poppy and like Eggsy says in the most recent trailer, it looks like they have another “save the world situation” on their hands.

The big talking point about the film is, without a doubt, Colin Firth making a miraculous return as Harry ‘Galahad’ Hart. In The Secret Service, Harry was seemingly murdered by Samuel L. Jackson’s Richmond Valentine in a shocking twist. Now, however, it appears as if those reports of his death were greatly exaggerated and Harry only lost an eye in the incident.

In The Golden Circle‘s latest poster, which you can see below, Egerton takes centre place as Gary “Eggsy” Unwin, with Firth to his left. The two Brits are then surrounded by their American co-stars – Julianne Moore, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges and Pedro Pascal.

Those last four are the agents of Statesman that the film will introduce. Tatum plays Agent Tequila, Berry is Agent Ginger Ale, Bridges will portray Agent “Champ” Champagne and Pascal is Agent Whiskey. The backdrop of the poster, meanwhile, combines two moments we’ve already glimpsed in the trailers: Eggsy’s London taxi chase fight scene and the Bond-like skiing trip to the Alps.

All in all, it’s an effective piece of marketing material that only has us even more excited to catch Kingsman: The Golden Circle when it lands in cinemas on September 22nd.
