But, after his most recent failed drug test for steroids, Jones reputation has taken another blow and the 30-year-old could find himself suspended for up to four years by the United States Anti-Doping Agency USADA .

Jones, who has been involved in numerous controversies outside of the Octagon, previously tested positive for clomiphene and letrozole and was banned for one year in 2016.

After his most recent drug testing failure, in which the former champ tested positive for the anabolic steroid Turinabol, Jones knockout win over Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 was overturned to a No Contest and the Jackson-Wink product has been removed from the rankings.

Worse than that, however, is the ridicule Jones has faced on social media after promising the MMA world that he d cleaned up his act.

Jones is adamant that he would never knowingly take steroids and the USADA is still investigating the failed drug test to determine whether or not he took Turinabol intentionally.

UFC president Dana White, who is hoping for a miracle with USADA s investigation, believes Jones could be the biggest waste of talent in all sports.

It would be the biggest waste of talent ever, White said on The TSN MMA Show in a recent interview, per MMA Fighting s Jed Meshew. Ever, in all of sports. The guy is so talented and gifted, God knows what he d be doing right now if he had never got in trouble. He could possibly be the heavyweight champion and have the defense record that couldn t be broken. The list goes on and on of what could ve been with Jon Jones.

Jones, of course, teased at moving up to heavyweight to challenge Brock Lesnar, but the Rochester-born fighter may step away from the sport all together if faced with a four-year ban.

Jones will meet with the California State Athletic Commission for a formal hearing later in December.
