Shia LaBeouf Took A Plea Deal For His Drunken Arrest In Georgia

Get the Full StoryEarlier this summer, Shia LaBeouf was arrested for disorderly conduct in Savannah, Georgia. Not long after the news broke about his arrest, police body cam footage was released showing a drunk Shia screaming a variety of hateful racist shit at the arresting officers. Shia finally took care of that situation in a Savannah court this morning, and TMZ says he plead guilty.

Shia didn’t receive any special celebrity court perks; he waited in the back of the courtroom until his case was called, at which point he approached the bench and plead guilty to obstruction and no contest to disorderly conduct. His public drunkenness charge was dropped.

Shia was sentenced to one year probation and anger management. He must undergo an alcohol evaluation, and pay 2,680 in fines.

Pleading guilty was probably a good idea on Shia’s part. After all, those body cam videos don’t lie. Literally the only way he could have defended himself would be to argue that he was going full-method for a movie about an asshole whose mouth operates like a backed-up garbage disposal when he gets a pair of cuffs on his wrists. But we all know that argument wouldn’t hold up. Shia has been “acting” on and off like that for years now. And the last time I checked, he’s not filming some Boyhood-style 12-year-long film about being a drunk dick.
