Boris Johnson has called for a new plane to fly ministers around the world promoting post-Brexit trade.

The foreign secretary is on the second leg of a five-day trip to South America.

Of the current plane used by ministers, Johnson said: "I don’t know who uses it, but it never seems to be available. And also, why does it have to be grey?"

Johnson previously called for a 22-mile bridge across the Channel with France, a newly commissioned Royal Yacht, and a set of commemorative stamps to mark Brexit.
