Farmer Thanos Headlines New Avengers: Infinity War Fan Art

Get the Full Story“I finally rest. And watch the sun rise on a grateful universe. The hardest choices require the strongest wills.”

It’s a farmer’s life for Thanos in this newly-unveiled fan art for Avengers: Infinity War.

Coming to us by way of Reddit, below you’ll see the Mad Titan living out the remainder of his days as a lonely countryman, one who has evidently traded apocalyptic action for…agriculture. There’s no sign of the charred Infinity Gauntlet, either, though it’s likely hiding away within the crops or hung up next to Thanos’ makeshift scarecrow.

And, frankly, it’s only fitting that Josh Brolin’s brooding tyrant adorns some fan art now that Infinity War has come and gone. After all, he was billed as the sequel’s one true protagonist, given the entirety of Marvel’s sequel was structured around his quest to round up all six Infinity Stones and slice the universe’s population in half.

Chances are it’s all for nothing, as rumormongers believe the plot of Avengers 4 will revolve around Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and their quest to undo the Mad Titan’s universe-wide genocide. A second Infinity Gauntlet has been floated as one possible strategy, while others believe Tony Stark and Co. will journey back in time, thereby fulfilling Doctor Strange’s prophecy. Or perhaps it’s some combination of the two? Time will tell.

As of today, Avengers: Infinity War is also the first Marvel movie to ever reach 2 billion worldwide, which is a pretty incredible feat when you consider that it’s also the 19th installment in a franchise that shows no sign of slowing down. Up next? Ant-Man and the Wasp.
