Dr. Luke Denies Ever Sexually Assaulting Katy Perry

Get the Full StoryYesterday, anyone whose hair stands on the back of their neck when they hear about Dr. Luke was given yet another reason to dislike him. There was a new development in his defamation suit against Kesha and her mom Pebe Sebert. Dr. Luke claimed that Kesha said in 2016 text messages to Lady Gaga that he had raped both herself and Katy Perry. Dr. Luke has always been quick to deny any allegation made against him by Kesha, and this latest situation is no different.

He was probably hoping that sort of allegation would remain within the walls of the courtroom, but it got out, which means he had to put his legal team to work on a public statement on his behalf. Of course, his denial involves calling Kesha a liar.

“Katy Perry herself confirmed that Dr. Luke did not rape her. Kesha’s accusation to the contrary – just like her other outrageous lies about Dr. Luke – is baseless and irresponsible, and it is disrespectful to both Katy Perry and Dr. Luke. In his defamation lawsuit against Kesha, Dr. Luke seeks damages for the harm caused by these malicious falsehoods.”

Dr. Luke had worked with Katy Perry numerous times on three different albums, some around the same time he was working with Kesha. People reached out to Kesha for a comment, which she declined. E! News reached out to Katy Perry for her thoughts, and she also declined. Katy has never commented publicly on this messy situation.

Dr. Luke has denied the rape allegations since the beginning many years ago. I just can’t help but wonder why he hasn’t offered to take a lie detector test. Or maybe he tried, but the polygraph examiner determined any results would be inconclusive once they realized they were dealing with a guy who has built his career around identifying as a fake doctor.
