Eva Longoria Uses Son's Birth Announcement to Support the Families Being Separated at the Border

Get the Full StoryAfter nine months in the spotlight during her first pregnancy, Eva Longoria welcomed a son, Santiago Enrique Bast n, on June 19. However, in what should be a happy time full of love for Eva and her family, the actress can't help but think about what it would be like if her baby boy were ever taken away from her, like the parents at the US-Mexico border who are being ripped away from their children. While introducing Santiago on social media, the brand new mom used her post announcing his birth to support these families who are going through the unthinkable.

"Hello world! I introduce to you Santiago Enrique Bast n. Thank you everyone for showering my baby boy with all your warm wishes!" Eva wrote. "In light of my son's birth I wanted to bring focus on the families that have been separated at the border. Having my son next to me, I cannot imagine him being taken from my arms. Families belong together which is why we must do what we can to reunite them. That's why I am supporting raicestexas and aclu_nationwide to help fund legal services for separated families . . . #KeepFamiliesTogether."
