Tom DeLonge’s UFO Project Has Put His Company 37 Million In Debt
Get the Full StoryTom DeLonge used to be the hottest member of Blink-182 according to high school Allison , but he’s currently living life like the pop-punk Kanye West, which is to say he’s burned a bunch of professional bridges and is now a UFO expert.A few years ago, Tom traded in Blink-182 for aliens and government cover-ups. Sadly, all that UFO research hasn’t been profitable for Tom, and his UFO truth-hunting company claims they’re more than 37 million in debt.
Tom has published several books about UFOs under the name Sekret Machines, his multimedia project dedicated to investigating and exposing unidentified aerial phenomena. Tom recently made his financial situation common knowledge, and it’s a mess. According to Ars Technica, Tom later turned his books with Sekret Machines into To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science Inc., a group allegedly comprised of former intelligence officials and experts, that had once sent an email to Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager inquiring about a meeting. Tom believed that the government was involved in alien covers ups and was hoping the To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science Inc. would get to the bottom of it.
Last year, Tom reportedly asked interested parties for a minimum investment of 200, and it sounds like there weren’t too many checks rolling in, and he had to pay out of his own pocket. After a year of fundraising, Ars Technica says that To the Stars filed a semi-annual report with the US Securities and Exchange Commission in which they claim that as of June 30, 2018, the company has accumulated a deficit of 37,432,000.
The documents state that the company plans on staying afloat over the next 12 months by selling additional stock. If you feel so inclined – maybe you still get nostalgic thinking of slow-dancing to “I Miss You” at a middle school dance – you can make an investment on the To the Stars website.

It doesn’t specifically state where they blew almost 37.5 million. I’m sure you could assume they just lit a giant pile of money on fire, and I bet you’d be close. My personal guess is at least 20 million went to the development of a UFO communication device. But no matter how many working Speak & Spells, cans of MJB coffee, umbrellas, and vintage record players he got his hands on, Tom just couldn’t get E.T. on the other end.
