Danis: They do Conor dirty by saying Holloway is the best FW ever

Get the Full StoryDillon Danis immediately comes to the defense of Conor McGregor, amid talks that Max Holloway could be the best 145-pound fighter of all-time after UFC 231. UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway put on a masterful performance against Brian Ortega on Saturday night at UFC 231. The win marked his second successful title defense, which also earned him major praises and considerations as possibly the greatest featherweight fighter of all-time.

Holloway, however, himself refuses to accept such accolades just yet.

I still believe the greatest featherweight of all time is Jose Aldo. When I m 30 or 31 or his age then you ask me if I m the greatest featherweight of all-time if I m still here, Holloway said during his post-UFC 231 media scrum.

One other individual who agrees with Holloway is Dillon Danis, who also made it a point to remind people about his training partner, Conor McGregor.

McGregor did defeat Holloway via unanimous decision when they first fought each other in 2013. Since then, the 27-year-old Hawaiian fighter had improved leaps and bounds, putting on a five-year undefeated streak and setting records of his own.

The Notorious, on the other hand, was not able to defend the 145-pound title after he won it against Aldo in 2015, forcing the UFC to strip it from him. He has not fought at featherweight since the win against Aldo.
