The Queen Was Spotted Driving Without A Seatbelt A Day After Prince Philip s Crash

Get the Full StoryThe guy above is making the same grin and bear it oh shit face many of us were making upon hearing that Prince Philip and The Queen are both out driving around well into their 90s. And now, just one day after Philip s Land Rover flipped in a crash, The Queen has been photographed flipping a virtual middle finger while driving without a seatbelt near the site of Philip s accident. That Queen Elizabeth is one little sassy filly. Royals: they re just like us except they don t need drivers licenses, can t be prosecuted for breaking laws and seem to never die !

The Daily Mail was quick to dob The Queen in after she was seen rolling around seatbelt-less in her muddy SUV this weekend:

The Queen was spotted driving her Range Rover without a seatbelt a day after Prince Philip s crash. The 92-year-old monarch drove on a public road in Sandringham yesterday little more than a mile from the scene of her husband s accident.

She learned to drive with the Army in 1945, before she became Queen, and does not need a licence. Under UK law it is compulsory to wear a seatbelt if there is one fitted but the Queen is immune from any civil or criminal proceedings.

Buckingham Palace insisted the monarch was careful to ensure she privately complied with the law.

The Royal website says: While no longer administering justice in a practical way, the Sovereign today still retains an important symbolic role as the figure in whose name justice is carried out, and law and order is maintained.

Although civil and criminal proceedings cannot be taken against the Sovereign as a person under UK law, The Queen is careful to ensure that all her activities in her personal capacity are carried out in strict accordance with the law.

So let s get this straight, even though the Queen and her man are in their NINETIES, they are immune from having to get re-tested for drivers licenses that do not exist to them, keeping them behind the wheel until the last car they ll be in is a white stallion pulled carriage hearse? Sounds legit.

BUT WAIT! The Telegraph posted other pictures of The Queen wearing her seatbelt, and some say she put her seatbelt on and changed her headscarf, I guess after spotting the paparazzi:

As for Philip, the Daily Mail says that his crash is under investigation, possibly because there was a nine month old baby in the Kia at the time of the accident.

However he is now facing a police probe over the accident and could be forced to surrender his driving licence.

Norfolk Police said the force would investigate the crash, meaning the duke is likely to be interviewed by officers.

I hope when they do finally take Philip s keys away, they let Duchess Meghan be the one to do it! Surely the grateful citizens of the UK will forgo any bad will they have brewing against her and sing her praises her for saving them from a potential heart attack behind the wheel turned SUV killing machine. I m sure Meghan s PR team is right on that!
