Bellator 220 fighter predictions: Fitch promises to bring some old man strength down on MacDonald

Get the Full StoryJon Fitch promises to teach Rory MacDonald and the other young whipper-snappers in the Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix a lesson. Jon Fitch is ready to unleash his old man strength on Rory MacDonald at Bellator 220.

Fitch was one of many fighters asked to predict the outcome of Bellator 220 s main event for SBN MMA s Fighters Pick Fights series. You can read a handful of excerpts below and see all the picks in the video above.

Jon Fitch: Jon Fitch by vicious beat down. I m going to bring some old man strength and teach these young whipper-snappers a lesson.

Josh Emmett: Rory MacDonald is just the bigger, more physical mixed martial artist. I think MacDonald has the advantage on the feet.

Cody Stamann: I would imagine Rory MacDonald is on a whole different level in every aspect of MMA. From the last I saw of Jon Fitch, it didn t really seem like it can be that competitive. I think Rory steamrolls him.

Santiago Ponzinibbio: Rory MacDonald, man. He needs the same game plan he used to beat Demian Maia. Right now, I think Maia is more athletic than Jon Fitch.

Eryk Anders: I think if Jon Fitch comes out and at least threatens some strikes to get the takedown, he ll win. I don t think Rory MacDonald can take a punch to the nose anymore. MacDonald is probably the favorite but I m going to go with Jon Fitch.

Max Griffin: I haven t seen much of Fitch, I m sure he s still wrestling. It s probably going to be a long fight. Probably a five-round boring ass fight.

Bellator 220 airs on DAZN and takes place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California on Saturday, April 27. Keep up with Bloody Elbow for live highlights, updates, and results on all of the night s action.
