Marie Kondo Must Really Love Us, 'Cause She Wrote a Book to Inspire Kids to Tidy Up

Get the Full StoryWe're going to owe Marie Kondo an immense debt of gratitude once her new children's book comes out. The Japanese organizing guru is already the author bestsellers like The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, which has prompted many adults including a few of our editors! to de-clutter their homes, and in turn, their minds. Marie, a mom of two, is ready to bring her message of tidying up to a younger audience - and hopefully spark more joy in the process.

"Introducing Kiki & Jax my upcoming children's picture book co-written and illustrated by salinayoon," Marie officially announced to Instagram on Friday. "It's a timeless story about friendship, and I hope that the characters of Kiki and Jax will inspire children and families to tidy and embrace joy!"

What's that you say, Marie? Inspire our whole family to clean up and chill out? Count us in! Kondo's Kiki & Jax: The Life-Changing Magic of Friendship will follow two best friends: Kiki, who's a collector, and Jax, who's a sorter. When Kiki's "things" get in the way, they have to find space for the most important element of joy - their friendship. The book will officially hit shelves on Nov. 5, but it's available for pre-order now if you're anxious to claim your own copy.
