Back To The Future Fans Start Petition For A Fourth Film

Get the Full StoryFor better or worse, movies, games, and TV shows are all backed by rather passionate fanbases, and unfortunately, disgruntled devotees are keen on complaining, making ridiculous demands, and hurling threats and insults directed at directors, writers, and other creators. This year alone, we ve seen campaigns that are focused on replacing Brie Larson as Captain Marvel with a person of color, picking a new actor to take on the role of Batman instead of Robert Pattinson, and remaking the final season of Game of Thrones, which proved to a be a big disappointment to fans from all over.

We quickly grew tired of all negativity we assume you did too , but a new petition has surfaced that is decidedly less toxic. As reported by ComicBook.com, a new campaign has popped up, created by one fan who is quite keen on seeing a fourth Back to the Future film. Yep, you read that right. Even though director Robert Zemeckis tied things up rather nicely in the franchise s third and final installment, it looks like there are a few devotees who d rather see things continue on.

If we re being honest, we don t think this particular petition will gain much traction it s only racked up 25 signatures in the past week or so. That being said, it s worth pointing out the series did receive an official fourth installment of sorts. Years before Telltale Games went bankrupt and closed their doors, the studio released Back to the Future: The Game. This episodic adventure took place after the films and was even worked on by series co-creator writer producer Bob Gale, who assisted in penning the story.

Unfortunately, the game has since been delisted from digital storefronts, though new and used copies can still be purchased on Amazon and eBay.
