Yep, turns out being a country singer living in the shadows of your much more famous wife probably caused some tension. Either that or Kacey got tired of red carpet photographers constantly yelling at Ruston to get out of the way. Whatever the reason is, Kacey is now free to lasso twinks in the village and then go do Patr n shots and karaoke with them until 5 am.I ve always said that couples in lockdown who DON T end up getting divorced are more surprising to me than those who do, but many including People Magazine are hinting that this break-up may have been a long-time coming. Back in November 2019, Kacey attended the CMA Awards with Gigi Hadid as her date. And then, in December, Kacey and Ruston deleted photos of one another from their respective Instagram accounts. And when people noticed because how could you not? , Kacey was like, Oh no, y all. It don t mean anything. Y all need to calm down haha and then she burped out a hot cloud of bong water. That speech didn t actually happen but it s how I pictured it .
A lot of the songs on Kacey s 2018 album Golden Hour were written about Ruston and how lovely he is was. But also, Kacey s career has changed a lot in the last three years.
The two are doing the whole we still love and honor each other every day thing. Kacey and Ruston those names, did Myka Stauffer name them? released this syrupy statement that proves that Kacey IS a songwriter and they also claim that things aren t going to get country song messy.
With heavy but hopeful hearts we wanted to put our own thoughts into the air about what s happening. These kinds of announcements are always met with scrutiny and speculation and we want to stop that before it even starts. We believe that we were put into each other s lives for a divine reason and have both changed each other infinitely for the better. The love we have for each other goes far beyond the relationship we ve shared as husband and wife. It s a soul connection that can never be erased.
We ve made this painful decision together a healthy decision that comes after a very long period of trying the best we can. It simply just didn t work. Though we are parting ways in marriage, we will remain true friends for the rest of our lives. We hold no blame, anger, or contempt for each other and we ask for privacy and positive wishes for us both as we learn how to navigate through this.
I mean, I guess you can t really call yourself a country singer until you ve got at least one divorce under your belt. And if they don t have a prenup, things might get messy, so prepare yourself for Kacey s rage-filled disco country album called Fuck You Hour.
