Angelina Jolie Is Suspicious That Brad Pitt Might Be Pulling Some Secret Shady Divorce Tactics

Get the Full StoryIt feels like we ve been watching the longest, most-dramatic Hollywood divorce miniseries play out in real-time for nearly four years now, and just when you think we re zeroing in on the final episode, a plot twist is revealed, and it s clear that we re in for at least another six months of drama. Earlier this week we learned that Angelina Jolie wanted to remove the private judge who was assigned to oversee her divorce proceedings with Brad Pitt. Now Page Six is reporting that Angelina has a problem with their judge because she thinks Brad Pitt might be using said judge to his advantage.

Angelina and Brad have what s called a bifurcated divorce, which means they re legally no longer married, but they still have to sort out custody and money issues. And they got a private judge so that things would stay private. So much for keeping things private, right? Angelina allegedly decided she didn t like Judge John W. Ouderkirk, because he has previously worked on cases with Brad s attorneys. She s gone one step further. Angelina s legal team recently filed papers in Los Angeles, because she s concerned that something untoward was happening. According to a source who spoke with Page Six, Angelina is suspicious that Judge John, Brad, and his attorneys Anne C. Kiley and Lance Spiegel, are all in cahoots with each other, working solely to defeat the evil Maleficent! Or rather, the woman who played Maleficent.

Angelina s attorney, on her own initiative, discovered the truth of what should have been disclosed long before, the filing adds.

Jolie s legal team was told that, from 2012 to 2013, Ouderkirk had heard a few cases involving Pitt s counsel, but that in recent years he had only undertaken one or two cases that settled without his involvement Hidden was the fact that Judge Ouderkirk s relationship with Respondent s counsel had continued and expanded into 2020.

It is believed the judge had worked on numerous undisclosed cases for Pitt s lead attorney, Spiegel, and one for his other attorney, Kiley.

Angelina believes Judge John et al intentionally kept their working history a secret, specifically to fuck with Angelina. Not to mention, Brad and his team allegedly pushed for the selection of Judge John. Uh oh. The fix is in! At least, according to the court papers that were recently filed:

No one thought to let Jolie know. Instead, it was a little secret between Judge Ouderkirk and Pitt s counsel as is often true, the cover-up or perceived cover-up drives home the concern that something untoward is happening.

So basically, Angelina believes that Judge John can t be impartial because he s not-so-secret legal besties with Brad s legal team, and that s the kind of thing that will only serve to benefit her ex-husband. And all she wants is a fair shake! That s all! She s totally not doing this as a way to drag custody negotiations into 2027.

A source said, Angelina isn t trying to delay this process. In fact, the court papers state that she wants to get this issue with the judge resolved so there are no further delays in deciding custody and financial issues like child support .

The court has ten days to respond to Angelina s filing, which happened on August 7th. Her lawyer says that the only way their divorce proceedings can go forward is if everyone involved is transparent.

I understand that Angelina allegedly doesn t want to drag this out, but how in the world are they going to find a judge that isn t at least a little bit biased towards Brad. A quick internet search tells me that the average age of a judge in the US is 50 years old. That means a judge born in 1970 might have gone to law school at 24, in 1994. Know what else happened in 1994? Legends of the Fall. There s just no way a judge won t be somewhat biased towards Brad. You re going to have to do a whole lot of looking to find someone whose heart didn t skip a beat for brooding, hunky long-haired Brad.
