Trump Has Banned TikTok And WeChat From App Stores Starting On Sunday

Get the Full StoryThe likes of TikTok stars Addison Rae were smart to pivot from lazily busting out Ambien moves for her millions of followers to joining Hollywood in taking a machete to some people s tweenhood classics. Because as Addison butchers She s All That, Donald Trump has cut one of TikTok s arteries by throwing down an executive order, which bans TikTok from app stores, starting on Sunday. Another Chinese-owned app, WeChat, will also be pulled. This is just Trump s latest shanking in his war against TikTok. If only scientists called coronavirus TikTok from the get-go, he would ve taken it seriously and ended that bitch by now.

TikTok has already been banned in India, partly due to the allegations that TikTok steals private data from users. The Trump administration claims they re also going after TikTok over stealing private data and NOT also because TikTokers probably made Trump s charbroiled dried apricot b-hole throb with rage by trolling his campaign . They announced that beginning on Sunday, you won t be able to download TikTok or WeChat in the U.S.

The only real change as of Sunday night will be TikTok users won t have access to improved apps, updated apps, upgraded apps or maintenance, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said Friday morning on Fox Business.

Apple and Google haven t said shit about this yet.

If you ve already got TikTok on your phone or download it before Sunday s death day, you ll still be able to get your fix of Kellyanne Conway s daughter dragging her parents or if you re me, your fix of chonies-less hot pieces swaying to and fro in grey sweatpants, unbridled GLAMOUR, pussies attacking dogs for no reason, dogs dancing, cocktail recipes, and pissed-off grannies . TikTok will still work but if they release any new updates after Sunday, you won t be able to update the app.

Oracle, co-founded by Trump lover Larry Ellison, is in talks to partner up with TikTok in the U.S., and if that deal goes through, and they fix the security issues to the Trump admin s liking, that ban will be lifted. But if not, the clock on TikTok working in the U.S. will tick its last fucking tock on November 12.

WeChat, which is a mobile payment app, got hit harder. Starting at midnight on Monday, it willl be shut down pretty much. via The New York Times:

The restrictions will ban the transferring of funds or processing of payments through WeChat within the United States as of Sunday. In the case of WeChat, the restrictions will also prevent any company from offering internet hosting, content delivery networks, internet transit or peering services to WeChat, or using the app s code in other software or services in the United States.

TikTok s U.S. employees will still get paid and still get their benefits. TikTok s U.S. General Manager, Vanessa Pappas, called on Facebook and Instagram to help them fight the order:

We agree that this type of ban would be bad for the industry. We invite Facebook and Instagram to publicly join our challenge and support our litigation. This is a moment to put aside our competition and focus on core principles like freedom of expression and due process of law.

I m sure Mark Zuckerberg will get right on that. So, on November 12, your data will be totally private unless you use Facebook, Google, Instagram, etc . And this move could backfire on Trump. Some TikTokers are serious about TikTok-ing, so this could cost him the TikTok demographic!!! That reminds me, I need to send in my ballot a quick second after I get it. Because I really do not need to be stuck at a drop-off polling place, behind a TikToker who is making their mom record take #77 of them doing the WAP dance while holding their ballot.
