Chris Harrison Plans To Return To The Bachelor

Get the Full StoryChris Harrison stepped away from The Bachelor after an interview he did with Rachel Lindsay, one of the only two Black Bachelorettes in the show s history. Chris defended a current Bachelor contestant, Rachael Kirkconnell, and her propensity toward going to Antebellum balls, posing with the confederate flag, and pushing QAnon conspiracy theories. Chris called out the woke police and that led to backlash, which led to Chris stepping away from the show to do some racial soul-searching. Soul searching complete, I guess!

Chris appeared on Good Morning America today telling Michael Strahan that while he has more work to do, he absolutely plans to come back to The Bachelor.

This season of The Bachelor featured the first-ever black Bachelor, Matt James, but the entire season has been marred with racial issues, including Rachael Kirkconnell s past. Rachael is one of the finalists and SPOILER ALERT .. rumored winner .

Page Six says that during his interview with Michael on GMA, Chris admitted that in his interview with Rachel Lindsay, he spoke in a manner that perpetuates racism.

I am an imperfect man I made a mistake and I own that. I believe that mistake doesn t reflect who I am or what I stand for. I am committed to the progress not just for myself also for the franchise.

After Chris took a break from the show, he was replaced by former NFL player, Emmanuel Acho, as host of the After The Final Rose special. But don t expect Chris to be gone for good, because he s planning to return to his role in the Bachelor franchise:

I plan to be back. I want to be back. This interview is not the finish line. There is much more work to be done.

Chris emphasized that he is not okay with Antebellum parties and that he s working to be a better man and apologized to Rachel Lindsay for how he spoke to her in the interview:

Antebellum parties are not OK. Past, present, future, knowing what that represents is unacceptable.

He also again apologized to 35-year-old Lindsay, as well as the black community, for his words.

Harrison made it clear that he is not a victim and said he is committed to making changes for himself and the ABC franchise going forward.

I made a mistake and I own that, he said. Racism, oppression, these are big dynamic problems and they take serious work. I am committed to that work.

And just what kind of work is Chris doing? Very important work! He s got himself a race educator.

Harrison also said he s been working with race educator Dr. Eric Dyson, who has taught him the idea of counsel, not cancel. As a result, Harrison said he s taken full accountability for his actions and is learning from the black community by listening.

Here s his interview:

Like many, Michael Strahan wasn t moved and called Chris Harrison apology surface.

I guess Chris needs to log in more classes with that race educator. But poor Chris, he must have been going insane at home with no one around to say, There is one rose remaining, to. Such an important job that man has. I would hate to see ABC take that away from him!
