Leon Edwards appears to have had a change of heart.. Leon Edwards appears to have taken Michael Bisping s advice as the No. 3-ranked welterweight is now open to the idea of fighting Jorge Gamebred Masvidal in November December.

Edwards previously snubbed Masvidal on social media but Rocky is no longer content to sit on the sidelines and wait for a title shot against the winner of Usman vs. Covington 2.

Edwards was punched by Masvidal after the two got into a backstage altercation at London s O2 Arena in 2019 and admits that he was frustrated that the fight wasn t originally booked back then.

Yeah, for sure. November, December. I ll be on to fight against Jorge Masvidal , Edwards told Ariel Helwani during a recent appearance on The MMA Hour h t Low Kick MMA . Apart from a title shot, there s no other fight than him. Everyone knows this.

I m not scared of him. I ve asked three years in a row to fight this guy and he turned down every single time.

Edwards is coming off a lopsided decision win over Nate Diaz at UFC 263 and is currently on a whopping nine-fight win streak. Masvidal, on the other hand, is looking to rebound from his knockout loss to reigning welterweight champion Kamaru Usman at UFC 261. Both men are ranked #3 and #6 respectively.
