Dr. Oz Wants Back Into Mainstream TV But Sources Say No One Will Touch Him

Get the Full StoryDr. Mehmet Oz gave up his daytime talk show after 13 seasons to run for Senate in Pennsylvania, and well, he lost hard, and now, no one is reportedly willing to help him return to the mainstream spotlight. Yeah, being a pretend civil servant isn t as fun as being a glamorous television doctor hawking bullshit medical advice! Everyone knows that! But now that Oz has learned his lesson, it s too late. And it seems the only place he ll be back on TV is right-wing shit. Well, then maybe he can get a gig playing a doctor on one of Candace Cameron Bure s uber-conservative stinkers?

After Dr. Oz s political dreams were crushed in Pennsylvania, he s probably begging New Jersey, where he lived for many years before running, to take him back. And now, he s apparently begging TV to take him back too. But according to one source who spoke to RadarOnline, No one in the mainstream will touch him.

An insider spilled, When things were looking grim early on in the senate race, Oz s camp quietly sounded out some television executives about what a career might look like if he were to lose. They were told, Fuhgeddaboudit!

You can t alienate half of your audience with a political stance and expect to bring in an audience on your return to television, the source added.

But it s not all bad news. Radar spoke to a source back in March who suggested that Oz had a future on Fox News or the other conservative propaganda network, Newsmax.

He is only 61 years old and isn t ready to retire if he doesn t go to Washington DC, said an insider.

There is no doubt that he is a very gifted communicator on TV. Which is why there has already been talk about him becoming a primetime opinion host.

We are told there have been no firm offers yet, but Oz is expected to return in cameo roles as a pundit on right-wing networks. But it is not what he wants. He wants a daily gig. But it is not going to happen.

Some PR specialists suggest that Oz could make a comeback if he drops the politics. But Oz should honestly just embrace his newfound MAGA audience. Many of them think vaccines have microchips in them and refused masks while diseases were airborne. If that isn t a good and gullible audience for a snake oil salesman television doctor, I don t know what is!
