Heroic groom saves a boy from drowning during his wedding's photoshoot

On Sept. 22, Clay and Brittany Cook were being photographed by Darren Hatt, in Kitchener, Canada. In between posing for photos, the groom noticed something unusual.

Some children were playing by a ledge near water about 40 to 50 yards from the couple. Wanting to make sure the kids were OK, Clay walked over at what turned out to be the perfect moment.

He found one of the three children in the water and clearly in danger.

Image: Hatt Photography“It all happened so fast. When I saw him in there and he was struggling, I knew I needed to react. He was in a bit of trouble and I needed to get him out of there,” Clay told ABC News. He then took it upon himself to get into the water and help the boy, who appeared to be panicking.
