Jason Isaacs Was Low-Key Angry Over His Audition For Lucius Malfoy In "Harry Potter"

Isaacs told Digital Spy that he was pretty pissed with casting when they asked him to read for Lucius. "I was about to go play Captain Hook and didn't want to do two children's villains."

But, thankfully, Isaacs' family made a joint effort to convince him to do it.

"Over the weekend, everybody I knew called me — nieces, nephews, godchildren and then the parents," he told Digital Spy. "They all tried to persuade me to take the job — not because they cared about me but because they wanted to visit the set! So I took the job, and thank god I did!"
