As he recently told Portal do Vale Tudo, the former welterweight title challenger feels as healthy as ever in 2018 and wants fight three times this year, plus his title aspirations are still very much alive.

I m 100 , I never felt this good, I m super ready and I m going to go after those guys and I won t stop until I fulfill my goal, which is to become champion, Alves said. One fight at a time. I have one battle coming up this Sunday, then I ll go after my next victim. It s going to be at least three fights and three wins this year.

Thiago Alves was supposed to take on Zak Cummings at UFC Fight Night 124, in St. Louis, Missouri, but Cummings suffered an injury on Friday and has since been pulled from the event. Alves has since been removed from the fight card.
