Women prefer to date men who look like their brothers, research shows

The study, published in the Evolution and Human Behaviour Journal, was initiated as a result of evidence showing that people choose partners who resemble their parents.

Lead researcher, Tamsin Saxton, suggested that "familiarity seems to be attractive" too, with many often choosing partners based on similar views, interests or music tastes.

It has long been some sort of 'old wives' tale' that many people have wished was not true. Unfortunately, researchers have again suggested that women find romantic partners who look like their brothers.
