According to Combate s report, former bantamweight title challenger Bethe Correia will take on Mexican striker Irene Aldana in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Away from the Octagon since a June 2017 knockout loss to Holly Holm, Bethe Correia s 10-3-1 last win happened in September 2016, when she edged out Jessica Eye via split decision. Right after the win and before the loss to Holm, the 35-year-old also fought Marion Reneau to a majority draw in March 2017.

Currently on a two-fight winning streak with decision wins over Talita Bernardo and most recently, Lucie Pudilova in September, former Invicta FC title challenger Irene Aldana 9-4 began her UFC run in December 2016. She started her UFC career with back to back decision losses to Leslie Smith and Katlyn Chookagian.

Now, Bethe Correia is expected to take on Irene Aldana at UFC 237 on May 11th. Although no headliners for the card were confirmed, a strawweight title fight between champion Rose Namajunas and contender Jessica Andrade will take place at the event.
