Get the Full StoryPillsbury Fudge Jumbles!

Pillsbury Fudge Jumbles may sound like something that comes out of the Pillsbury Doughboy when you poke his belly a little too hard sorry . But back in the early 1980s, Pillsbury Fudge Jumbles were the Pillsbury Doughboy s latest gourmet creation that was made up of fudge and oatmeal. They were like the messy diabetes-inducing love child of a brownie and oatmeal.

Fudge Jumbles were a dessert idea aka that snobby Pillsbury Doughgoy s way of saying brownie mix from Pillsbury that came in several flavors including Peanut Butter Oatmeal, Coconut Oatmeal, and Brown Sugar Oatmeal. They were an oatmeal base topped with a layer of fudgy brownies and topped with even more oatmeal. Fudge Jumbles were a fudgy jumble of deliciousness that definitely gave your bowels a case of the fudge jumbles too.

Pillsbury Fudge Jumbles were not long for this world and they no longer exist. But their fudgy and jumbly memory lives on thanks to recipes all over the internet that help you recreate them. I don t know if I d want to recreate them, but I do know that I wish there was a time machine I could take back to grocery shopping with my mom in the 1980s. I d ask if her I could get a box of Pillsbury Fudge Jumbles and after she d say to me, No, I won t buy you junk food! , I d tell her there was healthy oatmeal in em and then I d smugly sit back as she glared at me in silence while thinking, Shit, the brat got me!
