Kelsea Ballerini Was Struck In The Eye By A Flying Object While Performing Onstage
Get the Full StoryThe douchebag concert-goer strikes again! Entertainment Tonight says that while performing on stage at Outlaw Field at the Idaho Botanical Garden yesterday, singer Kelsea Ballerini was struck directly in the eye with a bracelet that was hurled at them mid-song, making her the latest victim on a growing list of artists getting assaulted on stage, along with Bebe Rexha who had a phone thrown at her face cause some asshole thought it would be funny. Then an even bigger asshole slapped crashed the stage at an Ava Max show and slapped her! After getting hit in the eye, Kelsea stepped back from the mic and turned from the crowd. After her violinist came over to see if she was okay, Kelsea started strumming her guitar again and for a moment seemed like she was going to continue her song, but ultimately was like, Fuck this shit, and walked off stage. Here s the video of the mess:
Guys. I know we all mean well. We all want to show Kelsea love the best way we know how, and shower her with all the gifts. But throwing things on stage where artists are already so vulnerable is NOT the move. If you can t hand it to her, there are so many other options. Lord, pic.twitter.com oIgy2JDn3V

Today, she took to her Instagram Stories and addressed the shituation, as reported by USA Today:
hi. i m fine. someone threw a bracelet, it hit me in the eye, and it more so just scared me than hurt me, she wrote. we all have triggers and layers of fears way deeper than what is shown, and that s why i walked offstage to calm down and make sure myself, band and crew, and the crowd all felt safe to continue. that s all i ever want, is for shows to feel like a safe place for us all. i love you and appreciate all of the concern, lets make the last two shoes of the heartfirst tour the best yet.
Ballerini also shared photos from her performance on her Instagram feed. two shows of the heartfirst tour left, she wrote, adding: ps- i m fine, let s just do a better job of keeping each other safe at shows. ily. .

Kelsea posted another Story shortly after with a screenshot of two very well-adjusted people trolling her over the incident and calling her soft for posting about it since she didn t need stitches. Ouch. If words could kill hit you in the eye! On the image, she wrote, Also just gonna leave this right here. a sad, scary world we live in.
At this rate, I will be reminiscing to my grandchildren about the lost, ancient practice of general admission.
