So, a 32-year-old Redditor, with an invisible disability, opted for the same facility on a United Airlines flight, with her pass clearly stating PREBOARD NOW. An invisible disability is a physical, mental, or neurological condition that isn t immediately apparent to others but can significantly affect a person s daily life, activities, or quality of life. When she heard the gate agent announcing pre-boarding, she moved past a group of passengers to reach the gate. But the GA, exhibiting the crass inhumanity that has become a penchant for airlines everywhere, refused to let her board even after checking her ticket and ordered her to wait. In her post on Reddit, the woman confesses that the treatment left her embarrassed and aware that her not obviously visible disability, coupled with the fact that her Asian roots left her looking like a teen, didn t really help her case. She mutely moved to the back of the line, only to hear a couple in the first class boarding group point in her derisively and mockingly say, I didn t think so!
