A 67-year-old woman was impaled by a beach umbrella on the New Jersey shore.

Margaret Reynolds, who was a tourist from the United Kingdom, suffered a serious injury when the metal portion of the umbrella pierced her ankle.

Reynolds was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment.
